Katriona Jaspersen started writing her first children's book, Brooklyn from Brooklyn, back in 2012 with the hope that one day it would be published. It wasn't until she found herself working from home that she had the time and ability to make her dream become a reality. With the help of her father (D.B. Martin) who illustrated the book, she was able to make this happen.
Within a few short months, Katriona released four more children's books. These books were both authored and illustrated by her, taking a different approach than Brooklyn from Brooklyn.
She has always been a storyteller at heart, but in the summer of 2023 that she truly discovered her voice as more than just a children's author. After years of taking a break from reading, several books reignited her passion and one in particular sparked a creative fire within her. Inspired by the authors she loved, she set out to write her own novel under the name, K. Jaspersen. Less than nine months later, Ace of Palms was born-a debut that took shape during the quiet moments between toddler naps and long nights.
A stay-at-home mom, she balances her writing with the joyful chaos of raising two young children in Arizona, where she lives with her husband and ever-growing menagerie of pets. Writing has become a way for her to carve out a space for herself amid the whirlwind of family life, while dreaming up swoon-worthy romance stories. Her next book, More to Lily, an interconnected standalone, is set to release in 2025.Taking a different approach and expanding to adult fiction, she released Ace of Palms in May of 2024, with an interconnected standalone, More to Lily, being released in 2025.
