Hey! I’m Katie Jaspersen—indie author, book cover designer, and all-around book lover.

My publishing journey actually started back in 2012 with a children’s book I wrote on a whim. But it wasn’t until 2023 that I really found my voice as a writer. After years of barely reading, one book pulled me back in and lit a fire I didn’t know I was missing. That spark turned into Ace of Palms, my debut novel written under the name K. Jaspersen—written between toddler naps, late-night writing sprints, and way too much coffee. 

Around that same time, I fell in love with another creative outlet: book cover design. As an author, I know how important it is to have a cover that actually feels like your book. That’s why I started offering custom designs—because every story deserves to look as good on the outside as it reads on the inside. I also offer affordable pre-made covers for writers on a budget who still want something beautiful and professional.

Helping other indie authors bring their stories to life, whether through words or design, is honestly one of my favorite things in the world. If you’re working on something and need a cover that feels right, I’d love to help.
