Designing your book cover should feel exciting, not overwhelming. To keep things simple and transparent, I follow a straightforward step-by-step process that ensures your ideas are heard, your feedback shapes the design, and the final result is a cover you’re proud to publish. Here’s how it works:
We’ll dive into your book and your vision for the cover — discussing your story, target audience, and any specific ideas you have in mind. We'll also review any add-ons you'd like to include. At this stage, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required, and I'll kindly ask you to read and sign my contract to get started.
Based on our discussion, I’ll create one or two polished, unique cover concepts for you to review, depending on how clear your vision is and what the project requires. These concepts are designed to be as close as possible to a final cover, not rough drafts.
Once you select a concept, I’ll make unlimited revisions to refine that chosen design—adjusting details like fonts, colors, lighting, and layout until it perfectly fits your vision. If you want to explore a completely new concept or style outside the chosen design, this will be considered a new design and may require an additional fee.
Once you’ve approved the design — whether you have your final page count or are still finishing your manuscript — I’ll polish every detail and deliver all necessary files, print-ready and eBook-optimized.
